I study the development of brown adipose tissue in mice using tissue sectioning, immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy. When I am not in the lab, I assist the Barnard biology department as the department administrator and takes dance classes.
I investigate differentially expressed genes downstream of Hoxa5 signaling in Hoxa5 null and WT murine brown adipose tissue.
